As we continue exploring the impact of emerging design trends in the built environment on individuals with diverse abilities, we now seek participants to take part in a site visit to examine selected street design trends.
The goal of this ongoing project is to understand and address potential barriers design in the built environment has on people with disabilities and create recommendations to make these spaces more inclusive.
For this third element to this research project in collaboration with Guide Dogs we're currently seeking participants aged 18 and above who fall into at least one of the following categories:
Blind and Partially Sighted
Neurodiverse community
People living with learning disabilities
Wheelchair users/mobility impaired
Join us for a site visit on 12th March, 2024, starting at 11:00 am from Lea Bridge Station in Walthamstow before traveling to a potential second location (dependent on private transport availability) in Waltham Forest. Participants will receive £20 per hour and £10 towards travel expenses.
If you meet the criteria and are interested, contact pearl@ucl.ac.uk and check out the information sheet for more details about this impactful research.
